• Desert Adventures
  Desert Adventures was founded in March of 1980 by a group of people who got together one night for dinner and found themselves discussing the need for an alternative and better way to meet people and socialize, other than the bars. From that meeting arose Desert Adventures, an organization designed primarily to provide camping, hiking and other outdoor activities for members of our community. Since then, Desert Adventures has expanded its activities to include other recreational activities as well such as camping and shopping in Mexico, tubing, cycling, pool parties, hot air ballooning, 4 wheeling, IMAX theater, plays, trips to zoos, museums, botanical gardens and many other activities.

• The Desert Valley Squares
  The Desert Valley Squares, Ltd., is Arizona's Premiere Gay and Lesbian Social Squaredance Club. Founded in 1985 by Ted Oakes, MD, and a handful of others, the club now numbers about 30 dancers. We have classes on Sunday nights, and dance at Charlie's on Friday nights.
  
  
• Team Arizona
  Team Arizona is a resource network for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered (GLBT) athletes throughout Arizona. Team Arizona provides for the sporting development of the GLBT athletic community by providing a database of resources, a sports community newsletter, and the leadership and expertise in the various sports events at the International Gay Games. Team Arizona sponsors the Arizona Spring Sports Festival. Team Arizona raises and distributes funding to its GLBT athletes through its Gay Games Scholarship Program.
